& User Agreement

The Platform acts strictly as a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) facilitator. Rentic does not own, list, inspect, or manage any items displayed on the platform. All rental agreements are private contracts between the Item Owner and the Renter.

2.1 Verification Fee: To enhance community safety, Users may apply for a "Verified Trust Badge" for a one-time non-refundable administrative fee of INR 30.

2.2 No Guarantee: Verification is a vetting process attempt. Rentic does not guarantee the behavior, identity, or safety of any verified user. Users must exercise personal caution during physical exchanges.

Rentic provides a proximity-based discovery system. Users are free to set any Custom Sharing Radius (e.g., 1 KM to Unlimited) for their listings or searches. Rentic is not responsible for any logistical issues, travel risks, or safety concerns arising from the selected distance or travel involved for item hand-overs.

4.1 Zero Liability: Rentic, its founders, and employees shall not be liable for any damage to items, theft, loss of property, personal injury, or death arising from a rental transaction.

4.2 Indemnity: The User agrees to indemnify and hold Rentic harmless from any legal claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) incurred due to the User's actions or items listed.

In the event of damage or theft, the Renter is legally bound to compensate the Owner for the full market value of the item. Rentic will not provide insurance or financial compensation. Owners are strongly advised to physically verify the Renter's Government ID and collect a security deposit independently.

Users are prohibited from listing illegal substances, weapons, hazardous materials, or stolen goods. Rentic reserves the right to remove any listing and share user data with law enforcement agencies if required.

Any disputes regarding item condition, late returns, or payments must be settled directly between the Owner and Renter. Rentic may provide mediation for verified accounts but is not legally obligated to resolve the dispute.

These terms shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the state where the platform operations are headquartered.
