## Frequently Asked Questions

### How does Rentic work?
Rentic is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace. Browse items listed by owners near you, send a rental request, agree on terms privately, and pick up the item — all within your chosen delivery radius.

### How do I get verified?
Go to your profile → Verify Account. Pay the one-time ₹30 administrative fee and submit your government-issued ID. Our team reviews and approves within 24 hours.

### What if the renter damages my item?
The Renter is legally bound to compensate the Owner at full market value per the Terms of Service. Rentic recommends collecting a security deposit independently before handing over the item.

### Is my personal data safe?
Yes. Rentic uses industry-standard encryption. We never sell your data. See the full [Privacy Policy](https://rentic.mufasil.io/legal/privacy).

### Can I cancel a rental request?
Cancellations are handled directly between the Owner and Renter through the in-app chat. Contact the other party as early as possible.
